Pursuing Ministerial Credentials in the Texas Latin Conference, IPHC

Pursuing Ministerial Credentials in the Texas Latin Conference IPHC consists of SEVEN STEPS.
The first six steps apply to all candidates. Step 7 applies only to applicants who have experienced divorce.
[We recommend that you use this as your check list and check the items off as you complete them.]

STEP ONE:
Complete the Texas Latin Conference Ministerial Credentials Application Form

STEP TWO:
Read the book, Light for the Journey by A.D. Beacham, (Articles of Faith & Government), and read the current
period IPHC Manual which includes our IPHC History, and complete the Study Guide courses for both. (MCP 1.02
booklet)

STEP THREE:
Read and study the basic Texas Latin Conference-Licensure Study Guide, and answer the Texas Latin Conference
Bible Examination.
Additionally, for Spanish only 1st step applicants, you will be required to enroll in INCaM (Instituto Nacional de
Capacitación Ministerial) when these ministerial training classes become available in your area.
For English only 1st step credentials applicants, you are required to complete the IPHC Minister’s Credentials
Program.

STEP FOUR:
IPHC governance, as adopted by the 2009 General Conference, requires a Criminal Background Check and a Credit
Report be obtained on all applicants for ministerial credentials. Please sign the Authorization and Release Form and
return it to the conference office. (Attached on application form) Note: Outside background checks cannot be
accepted.

STEP FIVE:
“Recommendation/Evaluation Form – Ministerial Candidate.” On your application, you will find two evaluation
forms. Please detach. On each form you must either waive your right to examine, or reserve your right to examine
the form, and sign on the line provided under the statement. Then, send one form to your IPHC local pastor, and the
other to a person of your choice, not related to you by family. Please ask each of those persons to mail the evaluation
directly to the conference office. (We recommend that you include a self-addressed stamped envelope with each
form.)

STEP SIX:
The Pentecostal Holiness Church places high importance on the Biblical principle of tithing. We believe it is God’s
system for underwriting His church. A person’s tithing habits can also be a revealing mirror into his/her heart.
Please send a copy of your tithing record for the past twelve months.

STEP SEVEN:
If you have experienced a divorce(s), please include a copy of your divorce decree(s) with this application. (You
may also send a written explanation if you feel more information would be helpful.)
When you have completed these steps, please mail the packet along with a $35 application fee to:
